2017 Puma - Bluetooth Soundbar

Our 2017 27RLSS has a "Drive" ZLD-5217 DVD with attached AM/FM/CD Soundbar. I'm trying to find a manual. Emailed Palamino (John Jones), Forest River, and sales guy. No response.

TV doesn't work with Soundbar and I'd like to know how to adjust sound settings etc.

Any idea's??

My 2017 Palomino Columbus came with the TV not plugged in to the soundbar. Only the DVD player was plugged into the soundbar. We took down the soundbar and TV (for another reason) and plugged the TV into the soundbar, and it sounds much better.

My drive soundbar has its own remote. You can operate the sound on the bar or the remote. Mine is a app. 2 x 4" black flat thin remote...kinda has cave drawings on it instead of information. These people forget humans are using these remotes.

One day when my I.Q. gets above 40 I will try and program another/different remote so I don't need 4.

I would also love to find a users manual. My wife and I just bought a 2017 Puma 31BHSS with this same DVD player, and every movie we put in , it displays subtitles (driving me batty), i'v tried all the settings on the TV and its not there so it has to be player. there is no menu function (that I can find), anyone else have this same issue ?

We have a 17' 373QSI that came with the same set-up. The DVD player in ours skips on some movies. We complained to Puma directly and they said they had some complaints about the player, they sent us another player that had the exact same issues. We complained again and they sent a different brand player that works perfect. Seems like if I remember our sound bar does work with the TV. Not the best sound bar but it does work.

We have the subtitles on DVD also. Have not been able to turn them off. I don't really expect to be watching much TV but come on, what a POS.

Forgot to mention ours also had the subtitles that won't go away. The first replacement was exactly same. The final one worked perfect but it wasn't a Drive brand.

I emailed Palomino today, and will say that I received excellent feedback from Jon Jones. there where several emails, but when I enquired about the closed captioning (sub-titiles), this was the response ..

"I would advise you to contact your selling dealer whom you purchased from. The drive dvd player needs replaced.
As for the CC feature the vendor is making changes to allow that feature to be turned off. When we have that repair or replacement . We will advise @ that time."

when I asked about timeline of repair, this was his response ..:

"Your very welcome

The vendor is working on them now should have them within the wk. I have printed this out & will save to send you a manual. There is no replacement.

We'll see if anything comes of it...but positive communication......sent same original email to my selling dealer...still waiting to hear back...
