34REQS-6 with X-Chocks
The tires are so close together on our 2012 34REQS-6 that my X-Chocks will not slip in between. Does anyone know of another chocking system that adds stabilization and will work with our camper.

You could make your own but you will have to adapt the angle for your tires. Links:

I made a set for our 2nd camper and they worked very well. When we bought our 3rd camper I had to cut the blocks at a different angle because of the spacing of the tires. Looks like I'll probably have to redo again when our Sabre comes in.

I thought I had the same issue when I got our new TT. My old TT axles were farther apart then the new one. When I went to put them in I thought they were at their thinnest setting, I even tried to make them maller by turning the adjustment screw. Only after looking closely, and feeling like an idiot, did I notice that there was plenty of adjustment left to make them smaller. It just took more muscle to turn the adjustment then I was expecting. Not saying that's your issue, but your axles must be really close if they don't fit. How far apart are the tires?

I have X-Chocks for my 2012 31 RETS-6. They are very tight but you can use the wrench to close them all the way. They should go in. Good part is you don't have to tighten them much. Quick install.

Thanks to all for your replies. I have them cranked down so tight I just about need a cheater bar to get them operate. I haven't actually measured the gap between the tires but it is tiny.

If you find some chocks that fit the 34-reqs please post. There is very little gap between the tires. We have not used the tire chocks because our previous 5er had the JT stabilizer bars which worked very well. We will be looking for tire chocks and hope they hold as well as what we read they do.

Will do. If, by chance, you end up putting a stabilizer system on your's, I would really appreciate knowing how that works. I can tell you that I used the X-Chocks on my TT and really couldn't tell much difference with them installed. I read a lot of positive comments about them, but that wasn't the case with my TT.

We're using the X-chocks on our new 32 RCTS. It is a very tight fit but, I've found by bending the "shoes" just right to follow the circumfrence of the tires, they can be wiggled on.
I don't know why the axles are so close.

Hello, I have x chocks and they fit my 34REQ just fine. I went to their website and noticed two different kinds though. I have the deluxe x chocks and they collapse smaller than the standard verison. That may be the difference. Hope this helps.....

I use Model 28012 x chocks. I stand correct, I believe they are the standard ones..... They collapse to 1 3/8 and fit between the 34REQS tires just fine. You can find them on the BAL website for info....

I believe you will notice the most and positive difference with the cross stabilizers .
So far I have did my front and I am not sure the back needs to be done . I made my own in a couple of hours for under a hundy . with heavy duty cargo locks found here >>> Midwest Wheel Companies - Home
