Ha. I see how you arrived at that conclusion - I just meant the whole project was pretty spendy (steps AND the jacks for it). I wouldn't do one without the other.

Ordered 2 sets of quadra steps Tuesday. Will transfer my stabilizers to them. $440 on eBay with shipping.

Any suggestions on where to buy a four step to fit the Columbus 320RS?

Tweetys.com has the cheapest price that I've found:
Elkhart Tool & Die - Quadra Step - 25" Drop x 24" Wide

Shipping was expensive until I added 4 step-supports and then shipping was magically included:
Stromberg Carlson Step Stabilizer Jack Support

Unfortunately, the quadra steps aren't working out so well. I tried installing a set on the half bath door on Friday. They bolt up fine, but the way they're built/operate doesn't work with the factory brackets, unless I cut some of the bracket out. They also don't work with the tan trim that goes around the OE steps. It could be worked out, but I'm not sure I want to go through the process. Now I'm debating on sending them back and taking the hit, modding them to make them work, or trying to sell them. If anyone is interested, PM me and I can better explain via phone.

I see you need (8-1/2)in.to deploy these supports. So they are unusable most of the time? Especially if used with quad steps! Youroo!!

Interesting. I didn't even think about that - you're right, with the quad-steps, it's likely to be less than 8 1/2" from the bottom step to the ground.

Also, with the added distance away from the camper, it is going to put a tremendous load on the hanger bolts and the framework in the bottom of the door frame. I doubt they would not damage the door frame without the additional support. The 3 step ones stick out 24", so a 200# person standing on the bottom step exerts 400 lb/ft of torque on the framework and the 4 step would load it to approx. 533#+.
