Big, if he made his own adapter that might be true, but the ones you buy at the store power both 50-amp hots off of the 30-amp hot. Why would you want it any other way?!? You still have only 30 amps to work with of course.

Barry's right. My 50-to-30 powers both sides of my 50 amp service.

Yep, absolutely correct. I must have been thinking of 30 amp only and some how got off onto who knows what. However, running two A/Cs will be problematical. Use BR at night LR during the will work.
