adding a vent to 295rl
I recently added a 14 speed fan to the bedroom area in our Palomino columbus 295rl. It really pulls the hot air out of the bedroom.
The living area gets too stuffy when the only available cool air is from the tilt out bottom windows.
There are many times I don't want to turn on the a/c.
Has anybody looked into adding a vent in the living area, say over the kitchen area, to help with ventilation?
Is it possible? Where would you find electricity to use a remote control to open/close and set the fan speed ?
Thanks.
Jon

You should be able to tap into 12V power from any ceiling light close by. I'd suggest that you discuss this with someone from the factory to find a location between joints and any other interference. Are you planning on installation by a dealer?

Dave:
Yes, I am planning on talking with Forest River/Palomino first, then most likely Camping World second to discuss costs.
Camping World is the biggest dealer in my area and have a very large service department.
I thought I would ask here first to see if anybody has done this yet.
Thanks.

I was just at the Columbus factory with my 295 and they said that they could put one in but they seemed kind of apprehensive about it, the did put one in a 320 while we were there

I checked on the Columbus web site and seen that a kitchen power fan is an option. As that's the case, isn't there a vent in the kitchen area already?

Not on a 295 Dave, only in the bathroom and some of them that don't have 2 AC's have one in the bedroom
