Another Fresh Water Tank Question

With all this conversation of overflow tubes and check valves on water pumps filling up fresh water tanks I got to thinking that my rig does NOT have a fresh water overflow tube sticking out of the bottom. What I do have is a dime size screened vent hole right next to my fresh water tank fill. There is indeed some hose attached to the back of this vent. I am wondering if this is indeed my overflow. If not FR either forgot to install one or installed it and did not exit it out of the belly of the beast. Haven't had any issue as I just fill to the full level plus maybe a minute but if that check valve should fail and my tank fills up without an overflow, I sense big trouble.

Does anyone know fi that vent is indeed the overflow. It is inside my water compartment so if it overflowed it would be no real issue i guess.

Thanks

I overflowed my Sabre regularly- that's your overflow/vent tube and water WILL come out into the water bay.

It'll also happen if you fill too quickly.

That screen covered hole is the vent tube. Without it filling the FW tank would be more difficult. If you over fill the tank ( closed system) water will come out there, but is designed to be a vent tube.

Good News

Well that is good news. So you guys with Sabres do NOT have a overflow out the bottom of your rig? That vent overflow is all the is? Just confirming.

Many thanks

Fresh Water Vent

The little screened opening next to the fill pipe is, indeed the overflow. Easy enough to check it out....just over fill the tank and observe if water comes out the overflow.

It backs up and out the filler neck first. Been there ...
