I don't understand it then. Does the Media player have an optical out?
You need to eliminate the TV as the source of the problem.
Dust in the optical port(s) can cause problems too.

Page 9 of the owners manual states 8 gb's for the USB and 8 gb's for the SD card. Each must be formatted in FAT or FAT32.

Yes the media player has an optical output. This eliminated the TV as the source of the problem. Both the TV and the media player had noise through the GT 3.0 when using the optical connection for audio.

The problem will be getting the dealer to understand the issue to initiate any warranty repairs.

I agree. Once you isolate to the radio, then the dealer warranty department should take responsibility.

Remove Genesis

Can anyone tell me how to remove the Genesis from the cabinet. Looks like there is a removable bezel around the unit. Am I guessing correctly you pop off the bezel and there are some mounting screws under it?

There are two screwdriver slots under the lower edge. Insert a common screwdriver blade and twist EACH ONE before attempting to remove the bezel.

This should pop the lower edge free and then (and only then) pull the lower edge to you slightly and lift straight up. Using any other method to remove the bezel will break it.

The 4 mounting screws will be revealed.
