This set-up is as good as it gets, I have one more hole to raise pin box. BTW, the distance between top of bed rail and under the nose is still good at 7 ". Oh, and the other 'issue' I had before with the capture plate bolt breaking.....didn't, so I guess that make's this set-up a little more 'happy'.
Glad it worked out for you. Sometimes it takes a bit of tweaking to get it dialed in. I've not made any adjustments, but haven't had any issues.

Random question- didn't notice before but we didn't get a ladder to access the top bunks in our 2014 qbok. Is this normal or did anyone get a ladder?

I was told by a dealer that it was a liability issue....I don't buy it, because they put one outside that goes to the roof, go figure.

No ladders. The bunk over the outside kitchen isn't practical to put a ladder when the lower bench is made into a bunk. On the other side, we have the sleeper sofa and I've had kids and adults sleep up there without issues. In fact, I offered a ladder to my father-in-law and he said he didn't want one.

Interesting... Never heard that before. I don't think I would want a ladder for them given the angle that it would need to be at on either side to reach past the lower bunk when down on th OK side or when the couch is converted to a bed.

Does anyone know if there is a pole that goes on the bike rack or is the platform all there is?

Should be a post. It is nestled in the bike rack frame. Just pull the pin and then pull the post out. You then stand it up and insert it into the very back of the rack.

Hello Everyone,

Our family just returned from a long trip to Wisconsin from California (Just over 5,000 Miles total). We had a electrical problem which is likely a problem with many newer 5th wheels.

I will make a long story short... The main Positive DC lead from the battery to the DC part of the electrical panel was shorting out... but it was intermittent.... I ended up replacing the AC to DC charger thinking it was causing the problem... talk about expensive... $277.00 for a smaller charger. I have it for sale on Ebay now!

So finally I called a mobile repair guy as we were pulling into the Mt. Rushmore KOA. As soon as I told him the tale of what I had tried and that the problem was intermittent he asked me if it was a newer 5th wheel. When I said yes he said... I bed you $10.00 when they pre-wired your 5th wheel at the factory... before the frame was mounted to the rest of the 5th Wheel... they pinched the positive wire from the battery between the frame and the rest of the structure. (He was a former aircraft electrician BTW) As the repair guy was super busy and could not come by for several hours (We have this conversation via phone) I ran to a nearby hardware store and purchased a large gauge 35 foot bypass cable. I ran that cable directly from the battery to the electrical box and..... it worked normally!

So I later dropped the sealed underbelly and confirmed what the repair guy diagnosed via phone. The positive cable was pinched between the frame under directly under the electrical box itself. As we were in the middle of our long trip I replaced the cable myself. Everything works fine now. I was not able to take pictures unfortunately I could not take pictures but this is a horrible problem which kills the refrigerator/slides/and the jacks etc.

I'm going to send the info to Sabre Sam so he can pass it along to the factory as well.

Just a heads up!

Joe

I don't think we have, but what's the symptoms of it freezing up?

If it freezes up you will get a reduced airflow. If you suspect that it is froze up you can take the filter out and see that it is in fact froze up.

Any idea how to flush the second black water tank other than a hose down the toilet?

There is not flusher installed in the tank. The dealer told me that on the side where the tank flusher needs to be there is not room for it.

I just turn on the sink in the 1/2 bath and let it fill up. Seems to work fine given that the sink and toilet drain to the same tank.

I added a black tank flush to mine. If you check the mods thread I started or the link in my sig, there's pics.

I had an RV service center add the tornado tank flusher to mine. $30 part, $125 labor to install. :-( But, everything is up under the under layer and pretty looking and I didn't have to do it. It'll likely be the last thing that I pay for!
