We have used the outlets near the charging stations many times.... No problems..... Just a FYI.

Check your fuses. Have used ours with no problems.

We're plugged into that 12v outlet right now but we're also on shore power.

Hmmm...no luck with the fuses, they are all good...the adapter I am using works fine in the truck so I guess I have to start tracing wiring

Before you go tracing wire, pull the outlets and test them with a multimeter (at the wire as well as where they attach to the outlet.) . Seems odd that neither work. I didn't look in the basement of mine to check, but I wouldn't think they are both drawing from the same fuse.

Ependydad brings up a good point, I wouldn't think you would need shore power but I haven't used them without either.

Well I figured it out...I popped out one of the 12 volt outlets and direct wired the wires on the back of the socket to the plug I was trying to plug in and it worked. I then plugged into the socket and I could see that it was not making contact. The middle post was to wide to fit into the porcelain insulator and it was about 2mm away from touching...I took the socket apart and spaced the stud up the width of a small flat washer so it was even with the insulator...all is good now! Working fine!

Thanks for the replies! And no, you don't need shore power for the outlets to work...I now can say that for sure!

Glad to hear it. Wish I was out camping myself right now. Would be a great weekend around here weather wise but it is a pretty big weekend for us. Iowa vs. Illinois in a tug of war across the Mississippi River tomorrow morning.

Just an update, 36qbok is doing awesome with some issues that I have PM'd SabreSam about. I'm not going to bash the unit b/c every situation is unique. I'm hoping that as I've seen many times over SabreSam will help us in every way possible.

So far this season we have traveled nearly 4800 miles with it and love every thing about it. Thank the lord we decided on the front A/C or else we may have been sleeping on the couch in the living area. Since taking delivery in April 2013 we haven't missed one weekend with it!!!

I'll keep the group posted on our situation and resolution as time goes by.

Sounds good...buying a camper with the 2nd AC at the beginning is so inexpensive, compared to the price of the overall unit, that it's only a win win situation to get it up front...love our dual ac setup & it's a big plus when reselling!
