Since I custom ordered and they are holding my earnest money I think they should at least list it as a pending sale.

We actually had to push back to March 23rd pickup! So many things going on recently that we aren't able to make it up there until then. Our deal is still good but we just won't have the time until then. Now you get to let me know how your PDI goes

It appears they schedule the PDI in two hour increments beginning at 8-10 etc...I have a checklist and if not done in two hours time will continue on my own. Now that it's on the lot, with pics added today, I am anxious to pick her up. Of course weather is going to be a factor. I will up in your area this weekend at Great Wolf Lodge for my young one's BD celebration. If everything goes as planned next week I will give you a rundown of what to expect.

Thanks for the advice and PM. I got a quote from RVW and they are about 9K less than the listed price at my local dealership. Should give me some working room leverage.
Just need to finish the hunt and have both the DW and I to decide. We also like the Open Range 399BHS; which is about 7K more than the Sabre. Don't know if it is worth the extra or not.

Scoffman, work with your dealer - they may come up with a reasonable compromise on price.
I'm not into bashing other brands (I don't have a Sabre) but my impression of Open Range is tempered. The construction seems decent, but the cable slides and some of the construction features seem fragile.
Best of luck.

I have done a walkthrough on both. I feel that the fit and finish felt very much at an equal level of quality, but hard to tell how they hold up long term. A couple things on the open range I liked was a bit extra storage room, 85 gal water tank, Auto 4 leg levelling system, kitchen slide and island; but it lacked somethings like outdoor kitchen, & fireplace. Also, the asking price for the open range is quite a bit more than the Sabre, making it hard to justify. I think the DW likes the floor plan of the Open Range model the most, and I lean more towards the sabre. big reason is extra cash.

Every time I go to that place the chlorine is just too much for me. Do you know if your A/C in the master is a low profile unit or is it standard? This is something that the dealer is adding for us as part of the deal. I like the superior lounge in yours but DW says we need the table.
Went to Holman by us today to get a feel for how big this thing is. They had an exact model by Heartland coming in at 41'7". It was pulled out all alone so you could really step back and look. OMG!!! IT IS HUGE!!!

Two options (please correct me if they aren't avaliable) on the 36BHOK I think I would like are the King Bed as well as the hide-a-bed couch in the bunkhouse. Does anyone have these options, and if so what is your opinion?

The king bed is NOT an option.
We did get ours with a sleeper sofa in the bunkhouse instead of the lower bunk on the driver's side (opposite to the doors). We also upgraded the sofa in the main living room (on a recommendation by the sales person at Wana RV who we got a quote from).

Is it worth the sleeper bed in the back bunkhouse? Do you find you use it?

It's up to you- we like having a sofa back there instead of sitting on beds. The flip up bunk on the door/passenger side isn't very comfortable to sit on, to be honest. We like it as a sofa.
That said, we also like having a queen-size bed available back there for adult couples. Otherwise, they would have to sleep on separate bunks. (Ironically, my inlaws choose to sleep on separate bunks instead of on the air bed because my MIL is morally opposed to air beds.)
If you get the sofa option back there, you'll have to jerry-rig supports for the feet on the fold down bed because the slide is NOT flush with the floor. You will also feel the step up in front of the sofa (about an inch and a quarter) of the front of the slide. My dramatic MIL swears she's going to break her ankle one day. I'll probably rig up something to ease the transition that I hope I never forget to take out when we put the slides in.

When we ordered ours, a king bed was an option, but you lose the 2 little tables on side of the bed. We opted for the queen and also got the sofa sleeper in the bunkhouse, and the super lounge. The super lounge comes with 2 tables, and for us is just as usable as the u-dinette. We had it before and chose the super lounge over having it again.

DW and I kept the queen bed in our REQS. The side tables aren't huge but handy for glasses, remote, alarm clock.

Yep..there now and my eyes are burning from the chlorine. However the kidos love the water and magic quest.
Not sure if the MB AC is low profile or standard. I think its standard but will let u know. They never asked us when we ordered. We found we did not use the dinette often plus u do have two small tables for the superlounge that store under the couch.
Was the unit at Holman the Silverado? I looked at it last spring and thought that was the way to go. Especially the marquis (black and white) interior. We were reluctant due to the low trade value offered on our current unit. I then found the Sabre and liked it better due to.the residential shower, bike rack and superlounge and microwave in the outside kitchen. After trying to sell my outback privately I decided on the trade for the qbok even though the trade value was about the same as Holman offered. U only live once! And u r correct..its VERY LARGE! Not sure why Sabre lists it at 39'7" when by most accts by currents owners, the length is closer to 42'

Yes, we use it often when we have a full house of kids. Can also host a couple and they have thier own space and bed. Plus as mentioned, the couch is more comfy for lounging vs the bunk. Also have a queen airbed in the superlounge

Plus with the king bed, on the bathroom side, u meet the wall up close and personal when getting out of bed

Even with the queen bed, it's a snug- but I can't imagine how tight it is with the king bed! I bet it's only a little more than 4" or so.
Pretty cool to see the changes they've made in offerings since we ordered last May! We didn't get offered some of the options that y'all are talking about. Lucky you.

The king bed only adds 4" but it does make a difference in space.
Yeah...and when the 2014 is released I will b saying the same thing.

I went over an looked at our unit yesterday. There is definitely room above the subwoofer, and the black mesh would probably even allow you to see the LEDs on the SurgeGuard. It actually looked like I saw 3 #6 gauge wires in there as well, which would be sweet. I did not look to see how to get the black mesh off though. That may work better as a location for me because I'm thinking about adding a vac pan, and the kickplate to the bottom step would be perfect. Looking thru that black mesh, I could also see that there's a receptacle there where I guess the fireplace plugs in.
Also, I felt the back wall in the bunkhouse for a TV backer. I only seemed to be able to feel the stud. Is this what everyone else is mounting to, the stud?
