We had a 33 ft Wildwood with a similar layout prior to this and didn’t go through propane nearly as fast. I’m going with the theory that the tanks weren’t full like the dealer said they were supposed to be.

I guess I’ll find out when I fill them up in the spring. It will probably still be pretty cold in April when we open it back up again.

Looks good, Pbalmer. My mod to the charging station was removing the door over the outlets since we *always* have something plugged in there.

I'm going on 18 months and haven't gone through both tanks yet. We use the heat only when necessary to help the fireplace keep up.

Now on a different topic, did everyone else know that trees don't move when campers get close to them?

Last trip out, first week of Oct, day temps were 50's and night lows in the 40's. I used a quartz/infared heater in the main living area and small electric floor heater in the BH. The furnace did not come on. Hopefully one more trip the first full weekend of Nov if the weather cooperates.

Yeah, I had a little different reaction, more like a Homer Simpson moment. On the bright side, no major damage.....

Here's the before (or aftermath)....

Here's my quick pull apart, do a fix that will allow me to continue my camping until I get a chance to get parts and really work on it and fix it right....

Yeah, luckily I wasn't going to fast and heard the crunch right away. All I could do was laugh at myself given that I told the other people with us to watch out for all the trees we were camped around. Got the quote on parts and it'll be about $120 to fix it right. Not too bad, but money I sure wish I didnt have to spend.

On our last trip for the year this weekend, so I'll get the parts ordered and fix her up before our first outing next year. It's patched up enough right now to not worry about it.

Stopped to check on the camper yesterday. I checked the two quick connect ends for the propane and found that one of them wasn’t closed all the way.

I think I know why I went through all my propane so fast now…

The quick connects are sealed unless plugged into something I believe, unless you them plugged into your bbq?

They have shut off valves on them. One of mine was slightly open.

I get what you are saying, but even with the shut off valve fully open, if nothing is plugged in, gas will not leak.
