Just returned from our 'shake down' camp outing. Traveled about 70 miles to a beautiful resort/campground in Mass. Everything seemed to go just fine-----except when I got home and unhooked and went to put my kingpin tripod up. On these PullRite SuperGlides hitches as some of you know, require a 'capture plate'. I attempted to remove the plate and noticed the bolt that holds the plate to the backside of the pin was sheared in half . I just wrote an email to the company, hoping to shed some light on that issue. But here is a picture of our 'home away from home'...............

I looked at your pic, and not claiming to be an expert by any means, but the nose of the trailer looks to be high, which I don't think is good/ideal, and the side profile doesn't look like you're going down the road with the trailer level. I don't know if that contributed to your issue, but how did it tow. I wish I had more pics of mine hitched up, but I just have the one, as I've only hitched it and brought it home, but I wanted to show the difference in the trailer stance.

I agree that it looks nose high- but I'm not sure how much of that happens to be perspective and photo trickery.

I appreciate the feedback, the terrain did run uphill at that particular spot at the rest area and there was a funky crown too. I did post another picture which was taken in our driveway (granted, it wasn't quite camp-ready). I will keep a close eye on it and probably consider bags if needed.

Bags will help the sag on the rear of the truck, but will only make you nose higher.

How do you figure it would make me nose higher?
BTW-I know you said you only have the one pic of your combo, but from that pic even with the DRW it seems to be squatting some. If you could post another when you get a chance I'd be curious to see a different angle. Thx

He's not talking about your truck squatting - he means that the front of your camper is higher than the back of your camper.
My dually squats a good 2" when I settle the truck down on it. And I've weighed and found that I unload a little bit of weight from the front truck axles when I hitch up.

It made it! Wow, what a towing experience. 30-40mph crosswind gusts, 15-20 sustained and not a single waggle. Semi's passing and couldn't feel a thing. So excited for our adventures to come!

Beautiful pics! Ours comes off the assembly line on May 23rd and then the long drive across the USA. So We are looking at the end of May for ours. Our current 5th wheel will be going to it's new family tomorrow. Kinda sad. Does your kitchen have the new pull out pantry like qccowboys? Congrats!!

Very Nice! Looks great with that new truck and by the sounds of your drive home I am guessing you are glad you upgraded to that F350DRW
Happy camping and now let the mods begin!

Here's some if my old setup. Trailer was about 9000lbs with a tongue of abou 1100-1200lbs. Notice even with the golf cart the 3/4 ton Chevy doesn't appear to squat as bad as the 1 ton Ford. Personally, and not to stir debate, I think the Fords just squat more. Nevertheless, look at the profile of the trailer. It's fairly level if not a hair nosed down. The truck is pretty level as well. Ideally, this is how you'd want to go down the road.
