What brand will work and where do you get them.

Unfortunately I don't have any answers for you. I think I had picked the Elkhart Tool and Dye (sp?) because they seemed to be one of the first 4-steps that I found. It sounds like they mostly fit. I thought someone had posted some info and pictures about an actual install a while back.

We carry a pair of "Safety Steps" that had adjustable feet everywhere we go. If we don't use them at the doors, we put them below the outside kitchen. $100/each, but really nice.

I installed the Elkhart Tool & Die ones. The pics are in the 36QBOK mods thread.

Seems like a good time to revive this thread. With the help of my brother-in-law and father-in-law, we measured my 36QB while it was hitched up to the truck. Came in right at 13' 4 1/2".

Now to print that on a label maker and put it onto the truck windshield.

Is that the low profile a/c or standard a/c?

I assume standard as I only opted for the 2nd A/C when I ordered and didn't specifically make any requests for a low profile unit. It's pretty bulky, so I can't imagine it's low profile.

I will measure mine when I get it back from the dealer with completed warranty repairs next week. I expect to measure close to the same as my 2nd a/c is high profile also. Every time I approach a bridge, evev in my car, I am wodering...would I clear this? What method did you use to measure?

I took a furring strip about 6' long and put a torpedo level on top. I made sure the board was level as we extended from the A/C (highest point) out over the side of the camper. My brother in law (on the roof with me) then held then tape measure to the end of it and lowered it to my father in law. The street my FIL lives on is pretty level, so we just did it down to street level.

So now- a few more measurements because I'm the curious sort. Between the highest point of my bedrails (which is actually a ridge on the top of my Retrax Pro cover) and the lowest point under the overhang (which is a seam) is between 5 3/4" and 6".

My truck when loaded squats almost exactly 2" in the rear (measured at a point on the wheel fender to the ground). When loaded, my truck's front doesn't change at all (same measurement method).

We have a 2013 36QBOK have pulled it.....somewhere near 5K miles..... we have pulled it up some pretty big mountains and across a lot of Texas. We love it. Only downsides we have found...we would like a little bigger oven and the original stove grate was pretty cheaply made but the replacement is much better, and we replaced the couch in the living area with a double recliner as we didnt need the extra bed and wanted more comfy seating.

Finally got around to measuring the height before our trip this weekend with the help of my son. I used the same method you used above and measured at 13'4"...pretty close to your measurements. I'm getting more comfortable with bridge over/under passes but sometimes those low hanging utility lines frighten me

Any Sabre 36QBOK's out there?

What scares me are low hanging branches on small streets. Hit one pretty good as I was watching an obstacle on the road vs. looking up (1/4-mile from my house, on my street no less!). No damage fortunately, but it did send my fat tush up the ladder onto the roof once we got home.

What is everybody doing with all thier sewer hoses?
Do you use a tub? several pvc post storage units?

I have one pvc post storage drawer tube from my last trailer.
I also got a couple of these from my buddy, but would like to use one for all my black/gray fittings and gray wash/rinse hoses. The other I was wanting to use for fishing poles and other "clean" stuff.
So just wondering what ya'll use, or if I just need to make more pvc storage tubes.

I carry between 40' and 60' of sewer hose (used to have 60' then they developed pin hole leaks and now I'm at 40' in 4x10' sections). It all rides in two sewer tubes made of fence post and gutters.

I also carry a wye (and 3 caps for it), two 90-degree elbows (not sure why I have 2, I just do!) and a sewer donut that ride in a small closeable tote. This rides in the basement.

I leave my clear elbows always mounted on my sewer connections.

Battery box on rear bumper for fittings and extra carrier on cargo rack for sewer hose. Pics in the link in my sig. I think I have a total of 40' of hose in the carrier and bumper.
