Hey SabreSam, we bought the 31 RETS in August and we just love it, though I have one minor complaint. The large plastic strap, that carries the power cables beneath the 'sofa, dinnete' slideout, was broken due to the fact it became pinched on the slotted rod that controls the slide. The strap is connected at the rear of the slide across to the rear of the coach, and has nowhere to go except across the slotted bar. I really need to move the connection points of the cables ahead of the slide bar, adding a short length to both the DC and AC cables. Not a big deal. Where can I find a replacement strap. ( Duct tape doesnt last foreever!)

Thanks for the fast reply. The unit has been parked for the winter up against a fence and I was only able to partially open the slide. I will send you a pm with my address.

spurge1947,

I would be interested in where you move the attachment points as I have the very same problem. I have not had the time to really get under there and find new connection points for the strap.

I wont be moving the strap till early next year, but when you get under your slide you will notice that one end of the strap is a short 4inch rod that screws to the edge of the slide and the other end of the strap screws directly to the coach. Both attachment points can be moved ahead of the slide rod, and attached in the same manner. An a/c cable and a d/c cable need to be spliced into the lines plus some split loom needs to be added.

Yea, I am on my second strap and it is also broke now. When I was under the slide the first time, it looked to me like there is not enough room for the strap to make a loop when the slide is in. When the slide is closed, the strap is folded almost flat, making the strap break after a while. My thought was to move the inner connection point back towards the center of the coach some to give the strap more room when the slide is in.

I have'nt looked under with the slide closed, but if theres as much room as you suggest, then a person has to find another way to route the power cables.
