SabreSam, I have an 09 Sabre 31BGDS that we bought NEW about 7 months ago. It was a left-over 09. The bottom of one of the decals on the curb side is rolling up and is cracking. Just wondering if Forest River considers this a cosmetic problem? So far its just the one decal in a section about 18 inches long. Thanks for your help!

Keith

Dear Keith,
I'm guessing you meant "31BHDS" model. If you purchased the unit and it's still under warranty, I would contact the selling dealer. They can then contact our warranty department.

Thanks for being a Sabre customer.

I think the manual awning cannot be used in place of the power awning once the power is mounted they mount in different locations and need supports that may not be there.

just curious why don't you want a power awning ?

Why would you want a manual awning? Is something scaring you about the power awning?

Dear Jiggerk,
If you are ordering the unit, have the selling dealer contact his Factory Rep. and we can see if it can be built with a manual awning. Sometimes it can't due to the longer awning arms interfering with compartment doors or appliances.

Hope that helps

We seasonal camp here in PA April-Oct. We have always left our awning out and strapped down to our pad. Never had a problem in the past 8 seasons. Also can you put these power awnings up down manually if the motor breaks ?

The answer is YES!
I ALSO did a mod for 20.00 to have a remote control awning.
No need to get up from your chair to put it in!
Search lazy mans power awning mod

Had a manual awning on old trailer for ten years. Several steps involved to put it up or down. Electric awning is just a push of a button, which is something maybe the wife can do if necessary. Wayne
