Ask The Sabre & Silhouette Factory

Forum Members,
I am a Sabre Factory Rep. I would like to start this thread to allow members to post questions they want answered directly from the factory. The questions or comments can relate to sales or service. I will try to answer them as quick as I can. Always remember "normally" you should contact your local dealer first. Hopefully this will help me help you rather than looking at every thread. Rembember, Reps are people too.

Welcome ! And yes that would be great
I currently own a new 2011 32 bhok-6 .
and as long as you are available I had a door on my upper cabinets that the stop latch was improperly mounted . I removed door latch and installed it in the correct positon but now when you open the door you can see to unsightly holes where the latch used to be .
And in the forward sleeping area one of the holding latches for the monster mirrors has broken .
tell me what you think !

Also I guess what im asking is can i just order from dealer and repair myself as my dealer is not the closest to me .

Thanks for being available to us sabre owners !@!!!!!

Thanks for Forest River getting each brand involved here with factory folks.

Hope SALEM folks are next.

Smile 2nd. year warranty. rlts30

Hi Sam,
We bought our sabre from rvwholesalers in Jan, and thought that I paid for the 2nd. year warranty from Forest River thru rvwholesalers. When I called Palomino 2 weeks ago to inquire about it, they had no record of the extended warranty so I'm guessing it was never purchased. Is it too late to get it ??? If it isn't too late, where would I get the form, it's not in my paperwork. Also I would like too purchase a piece of the coffee color wallpaper accent, the stuff in the middle of the rv interior, it's a bit discolored in the bath area, I got bleach on it.
Thanks!
Dave
P.S. Awesome camper!!

No offense SabreSam, but if all you are going to post is "I've sent you a private message", that isn't much help to the general reader. As a Flagstaff owner, I was interested in your reply about a Flagstaff rep, so why wouldn't you post your reply?

No offense taken. I'm not the keeper of all products. It's not my place to publicly provide phone numbers and names for other product divisions that may not want that broadcasted across the internet. This is also why I'm reluctant to put myself out there knowing I can't always help everyone. You can always try the phone number on the Flagstaff brochure 574-389-4600. I hope this helps.

Here's the info for the Rockwood/Flagstaff warranty manager. Pleas don't bomb-bard him with phone calls. Doug Fought is a really level headed guy give him a chance. But please e-mail him, you'll get better results. Thanks -- Dave K.

I wasn't sure if you had a sales question or a warranty issue. I gave you a person that would identify which direction he should send you. I guess I'll have to ask more questions in the future. If you need warranty, go ahead and use the number provided by Big Red.

No problem SabreSam. But ruggedbrown's question was "Is there a Flagstaff rep here on this forum", and I was just curious what the reply was. I already have had contact with Flagstaff's warranty department, and they are great to deal with. 100% satisfaction.

JFYI, I wanted to buy a Sabre fifth, but in Manitoba we have a crazy law about people with general driver's licences only being allowed to pull a camper of less than 10,000 GVWR. The fifth I was looking at was just over, and would have required me to get a commercial licence. And the only reason the Sabre had a heavier GVWR than my Flagstaff is becuase the Sabre had heavier-rated axles. The trailers were very similar in dry weight. How dumb is that?
I really liked the Sabre, and think it is a very well built camper.
Take care.

At first I was wondering about the "I sent you a PM" replies then it dawn on me that it was more like RV HIPPA rules than anything else.

Glad to have a FR staff member on board but you must be one brave person to do it. Sort of like a school bus driver turning his back to 60 teenagers while driving.

Thanks for offering feedback and suggestions.

Good to have you on the forum. I'm sure you'll be a big help to Sabre & Silhouette owners.

RV Guy has helped us Prime Time owners tremendously and I can't tell you how much we appreciate him on this forum.

Hopefully it will be the same for you.
