Awning color on 320RS
Hello,
I have had my 320rs since Oct and really love this trailer. We have decided to add a window awning to the curb slide out but I want to match the awning color. Dometic makes 2 different window awnings, the delux and the elite. I would use either awning as long as it matches the patio awning. So, does anyone out there know the exact color of the awning that came on the trailer. One last question, why is there no weather shield on the patio awning? As it sits, it will just rot out exposed to the sun.
Thanks

I believe the 320 designates the square footage of the trailer.
It suppose to be 36' 9" long, with the fold down bike rack in the up position.
If you spray some Aerospace 303 on the awning, it will slow down fading by the sun.

Cabela's: 303 Aerospace Protectant™
It's good stuff to spray on most anything you don't want damaged by UV rays. I even tried it on my M.I.L., unfortunately, it's not meant for human consumption.

I found a thread about awning protection in these forums. There are some products out there to protect the awning, some better and easier to deal with than others. I agree, it would be nice if Columbus offered and awing cover since that is one item that really takes a beating when the trailer is in storage without a cover. I am planning to get a cover for my new trailer. it is a pain to deal with before each trip, but I have experienced the damage that the sun inflicts on the outside of the trailer in as little as two years and I don't want to experience it again.

I agree with all of you on the awning covers. Our Cedar Creek Daydreamer had metal wraps that covered all the awnings including the slide out toppers. I wish the Columbus had the same feature.

I talked to the Columbus factory rep a couple of days ago concerning the color of my patio awning. I hope that he can get the build sheet and it will show the color, so I can match the color for my window awnings I plan to buy. I also asked him about the lack of any kind of weathershield. Dometic shows 2 different power awnings. The weather pro, (which we don't have) and the Model 9100. The manual included with the trailer for the awning does not specify the model #. I asked him if Palomino ordered a "special awning". He said as far as he knew the awnings were off the shelf from Dometic. If this were the case, I would think that we would have a manual stating the awning was a 9100, which would in fact have a weathershield. It would either be a vinyl or metal. I don't understand but I will see what he comes up with.

If at time of placing order you want upgrades such as awning covers , ask your dealer about cost. Also the dealer should be able to tell you what the color is

Chris,
We talked a couple of days ago about this. Did you find the info we discussed? I await your call.
Thanks

I looked at the roller but there are no numbers to tell the color. I did make contact with a factory rep and he said he would get back to me, but that was 2 weeks ago and no response. I find it hard to believe that there is not a build sheet for each trailer detailing exactly what was used. On my last 5th wheel I needed some info and would give them the vin and they could tell me anything I wanted to know. I guess I will have to just try and match the color the best I can. I will however be getting metal weathershields on these window awnings!

I can't get my awning far enough out to get my tag numbers. I just tried.
The tag will just have part numbers it will not say anything about color.
Is there a sticker on the roller with numbers? There should be.
Take those numbers on tag and call your dealer he will be able to tell you color .
