Back Slide on 36QBOK

On the drivers side back rear slide of my 2015 36QBOK there is a black piece of plastic hanging down. It was attached to the bottom
outside corner of the slide. It looks like it's to protect the flooring inside when the slide is slide in. My question is can I take it the rest of the way off and not damage anything. I'm still under warranty and can take it to the dealer for repair but we're leaving for a trip to Disney Thursday 26th of March and hope to wait until we come home to take it in for repair.

Yep, that's what it's for is to protect the floor when extending/retracting. You could place a piece of carpeting in that same area to protect the floor until you get it to a dealer for replacement.

Can you describe exactly where or how to place the carpet and keep it in place?

That plastic piece is on each end of the slide room. Place a piece of carpeting at the end of the slide room that's missing...chances are it may not touch it anyway. If it does, have someone stand on the end of it to keep it from moving. If that area is carpeted, I'd suggest that you use a piece of 1/4 panelling (or similar) to protect the carpeting from snags, damage.

Yup, my old Sabre did the same thing and I had it fixed under warranty. Like Dave said, that piece helps protect flooring as the slide comes in. I think placing a think piece of paneling under it as it comes in would be fine. I used my slides without it, but had vinyl flooring and has no problems.

Mine has the vinyl flooring in the rear bunk house. If I can slide it I and out 3 more times without damage I'll be good the. I can take it in for repair. I'm heading out for Disney World Thursday so I don't have time to take it I for repair prior to leaving.

Thats to protect the bottom of the slide, not your carpet or lino. If you take the piece off thats hanging there be sure to get it all off so it dont catch on anything and do damage.

Your unit is a 2014, may want to upgrade that strip to a better product or wear strip, yours looks flimsy

Would also recommend a product called slide slickers. I also used pieces of Formica before I got the slickers.
