even though FR denied the claim under the warranty coverage, will they fix it at your cost? if so then that may be what it will take to not have a $50 thousand paper weight and one that u can use. If it has been totaled by your insurance that would mean to me that the loan would be paid off. if insurance says it's totaled make them put it in print and pay off the loan and have it towed away

I agree it should be covered by insurance regardless of how it happened. I also agree the OP didn't purposely do it as some things are unavoidable, thus should be classified as an accident. I would seek an attorney for advise on how to proceed.

who is saying it is totaled? if it is totaled get that in writing and have whoever says that has to pay off your loan and tow it away.

Have a local welding shop look at the frame and see if they could repair it. They might be able to add more strength to the frame. If the can fix the problem have them do the same to the other side.

I think it all depends on the coverage he has. Collision/Comprehensive coverage is specifically designed to pay claims when it is YOUR fault or someone else's who has no insurance. His normal deductible would apply.

It is possible that the OP did not have collision (comprehensive) coverage and only had liability insurance or coverage for damage that he causes to others. This is what it has to be because insurance will pay a claim on damage you caused to yourself if you have comprehensive.

Vin.

I would say that a good welder could straighten what is there and strengthen the rest of the frame. I wonder if anything heavy was on the rear rack of the Trailer?

I agree. It would seem to me that a frame straightening shop could fix this. It cannot cost more than $50K to fix a bent frame. Cannot see how the repair could total the RV.
