Our Columbus is just 7 months into the 2-year warranty and we have issues with the brakes and seals. Two of the seals failed and grease soaked the brake pads. We had it repaired at Barber RV in Ventura, CA which is a FR facility, however FR denied the repair and we shelled out $775 for the repair.
Cel Lopez with Columbus warranty dept. is working to get us reimbursed, however that has not happened yet and on a recent trip last week the brakes are still not functioning. Now we have to take it back in and we don't know if we'll have to pay for this out of pocket as well.
This is a huge safety issue and Forest River should be all over this to get it resolved, that is not the case. We will wait to see how this develops, if it is not satisfactory I will have to report this as a safety issue, maybe that will force Forest River or Lippert Components to take responsibility...
