broken hitch cover ???
I have a 2011 sabre 31 rlts and that fancy cover over the kingpin is cracked. I am the second owner of this unit and the orginal owner says that this is the second cover the first one cracked too. Is there a good fix or should i try to buy another? Is anybody else having this trouble?

We have a 2012 32RCTS and ours broke off after just a couple of trips. We use a Pullrite slider hitch and the capture plate for the pinbox was causing the damage. I thought about trimming it with a dremel then re-attaching it but have decided to go with a more expensive solution. This spring I'll be replacing the standard pin box with a Tri glide pin box. The cover can't be used with that pin box so my problem will be solved.

Your idea will probably work but I think you need to find out where it is rubbing or hitting and trim that area or it will continue to break. I wouldn't be too concerned about breaking the plastic tabs that hold the front of the piece in. A couple of self tapping screws with rubber washers should be an easy fix for that.
Edit**If you have a door panel removal tool it would make it easier to pop the plastic tabs out without damaging anything.

OP. I would sugest taking your cover to a body shop. They can back side repair the plastic by sanding the plastic lightly with 80 grit, cleaning or blowing of the plastic and then spraying on 3M adhesion promoter 08907. Then the can use a repair adhesive like 3M 04240- fast plastic repair, or if its a smaller area 04247. These are cartridge type epoxies that require a special gun that is about $100. Now these adhesives are quite pricey at about $30-$40 a cartridge- but they work. Use them to repair everything from $100k+ vets to my kids toys.

I have the cover on mine but It looks like I may need to remove it because I need to move the pin to the last hole to level the trailer.
I like the way it looks but level is more important with a 4000 -/+ mile trip planed for this year.

When i first (and only time) tried to get those out, the heads were trying to roll over to the point of not having any head left. And it was putting so much pressure on it was scared of cracking the cover itself. I guess if i ripped the head off i could replace with something else, but just trying to do rite and not tear anything up. This is the ,by far, the nicest wagon i've owned.

Mine is breaking because it rubs the side rails of my Retrax Pro rolltop cover (they stick in from the side of the bed rails). I keep meaning to have my father-in-law or mother-in-law take a dremel to it (they have a steadier hand than I do).

I got a new one under warranty and used my dremel at several contact points. Had to widen the center opening too. So far, so good
