Bypass valve
I can not believe that Forest River did not install a bypass valve on the Palomino Columbus 383FB, for the hot water heater how are you suppose to winterize this unit with antifreeze? your hot water heater will fill up with antifreeze with out a bypass valve.

My guess is that your unit really does have bypass valves. How about posting a pic of all the plumbing on the back of your water heater.

What is behind your HW heater? Our access panel is actually to the side of the heater. However directly behind is the dresser in the bedroom and I can remove a drawer for access as well.

Trust us. Your WH does have a bypass valve, or 2, or 3. look for a removable panel.

You just havent found it because a Columbus would surely have one.
By the way, Palomino is the manufacturer. It's a division of Forest River Inc.

Well I called the dealer today and they told me just put it in winterize mode and you will be good to go for winterizing it, not true I called them back and said there is anti freeze running out of the hot water heater, they said I will call the factory and ask them where the bypass valve is, he called me back and said that the factory say there is not a bypass valve on those units, I still can not believe that at all there has to be one.

According to all the websites and YouTube videos I found online, your Columbus has the Nautilus water management system so you use that to winterize and bypass the water heater.
Go to 3:51 in this video.

Thanks for the info, yesterday I went to winterize the unit and I did put the Nautilus water management system on winterize to bypass the hot water heater and that's when all the anti freeze started coming out of the hot water heater.

It's possible that you didn't have the valves set right, or they need to be replaced.
I've read about situations where the valve handle turns but the mechanism inside doesn't.

I’ve had to replace a valve in my bypass so it possible that there could be a problem with a valve on the Nautilus system. Can you access the back of that panel to check?
