Cable/satellite jacks

Just bought a portable satellite dish for my Columbus 320RS and I have a question:

In all three locations wired for TV in our trailer (living room, bedroom, cargo bay) there is a jack labeled "ALT SAT" (or maybe it's SAT ALT), in addition to regular cable and satellite jacks.

What's that extra jack for? And how do I utilize it, assuming I need to?

The sattelite connection is direct to the dish. Hook your receiver to that. Then your TV via HDMI. Or like me I have the tailgater, and a 211 receiver. What ever is on in the LR, will be on in the bedroom.

Not sure I understand

Thanks. But I think that I might have been unclear. I am trying to find out what the alt/sat connection is for, not the main SAT connxn.

Maybe for use in the event you used a second receiver (so you could watch different programming on different TVs)??? Just a guess...

Hello, what I have been told is that one is if you added a sat dish to the top of the rig. and that the cables is actually in a fake roof vent up there on top and that you would just pull off the vent cap and there is the cable to use to mount a dish on top. I just unscrewed the extra one from the alt / sat back by the water filter and added a cable to it and ran it up to the bedroom and hooked my 2nd receiver to that and works great. hope that helps.
