Doug,

Did you get at chance to post any more of your factory pics?

In fact, I literally just did. Since Sabre was good to me, I wanted to give them a preview and right to ask me not to post specific photos/captions of what I learned while I was there. They didn't ask me to change anything.

Here are the photos from my personal tour around the factory by Gary:

Great pics Doug! Thanks for the virtual tour. Is every model Sabre built at this site? How many units are in process at the same time?

Camper is back from factory - worse shape than it left - resolution going well

As far as I know, this is the only factory for Sabre. I think they complete 10 units a day (I'm questioning myself on that number) and have a goal for 15 per day.

I don't know how many are actively being worked on at a time- is guess 30-35 in all of the areas from welding and fabricating of the walls to the chassis and then all of the building of the camper on top of it.

So when a unit comes back for warranty work it takes the place of a possible new unit? Is there a separate facility for PDI prior to shipping or is QC during construction the prevailing method?

Great pics Doug!
Someday I'd love to go on a tour like that, looks pretty interesting. Seeing all thats involved and the equipment, buildings etc. Makes it almost unbelievable that campers dont cost more.

( Btw I pm'ed you yesterday.)

oops. forgot to check mark that stupid box again!

There are a couple of bays after the end of the line. These bays are used for fixing the things that PDI finds for the random sampling of units that are sent there each day. The warrant work is worked into that flow of units.

All campers have QC on the line. Not all campers to to the PDI facility- only a random sampling go each day. Supposedly at the factory tour at last year's FROG Rally, it was said that you can request that your new factory order be PDI'd. It adds to the order/delivery schedule, of course.

MillerTime, my sister was in town yesterday and today. I'm off tomorrow (federal holiday), I'll text you! Sorry- I should have sent a note back.

From the bay where my camper was to the rest rooms was probably 1/2-way up the line. I was awestruck watching these folks work. It's just so wildly different than my world behind a keyboard!
