Ceiling fan

When I first turn on my ceiling fan in my Sabre the blades rotate clockwise which I believe is the winter setting. I half to reverse the blades so they rotate counterclockwise. I do this by pressing the reverse button located on the same plate with the on/off switch and the speed switch. Is this normal or could it be wired backwards?

Not sure chuck, my speed and reversing switches are still on the fan.
Which requires standing on a step stool.

I'm not sure what you are asking. The reverse button just reverses the fan from the current direction it's spinning.

Correct..but the default direction of the blades when you first turn on the fan is clockwise or winter. It draws down warm air from the ceiling. Everytime I turn on the fan I have to also reverse the correction the blades are rotating.

So it always defaults one direction after being off?

I believe I was told that there is a default direction every time you turn it on. I spoke to the company that imports these things.

Yes when first turned on it defaults to a clockwise direction. I would like to change that to a counter clockwise direction.

I would think that in a camper it would default to counter clockwise or summer rotation

You need to order the Aussie version. It spins the other direction by default.

I really thought this was much to do about nothing so I really didn’t put much thought into my response. In reality most ceiling fans blow downward (summer) when turning counter-clockwise. The blades should lead with the upside as they spin for summer.

After looking at other fans I discovered that the blades on my fan are "twisted" the opposite of them. Looking at the blades from straight on the left side of my blades is lower then the right side. So that means that clockwise is correct for summer afterall. Must be indeed an Aussie fan.
