You will probably need a " Pulse width modulation " dimmer. It will turn the led on and off rapidly to dim the light, more off than on the dimmer you go. A voltage dimmer (potentiometer) will actually sometimes damage an led and also sometimes just wont work. Leds are an, on or off, light......not really dimmable like a normal halogen type bulb.
Good luck!

Don't think there is a transformer. They are 12vdc and are wired into the power center. The wires do run through a run under the bedroom dresser (Columbus 320) and removing the drawers provides access. I used a dimmer from LED Wholesalers on Amazon. It is a direct wire in and a touch on/off and touch hold to adjust brightness. It is a silver color. $10.

BigTJohn, where did you wire in? I put mine in outside where it comes into camper and it did nothing. It is a inline dimmer. So I cut the the wire and added it in.
