Thumbs down Columbus 320rs with Air ride 5th Wheel Hitch

Does anyone use a Trailer Saver or Air Safe hitch with the Columbus 320 rs. We just order our 320rs and am seriously considering one of the hitches. We would really like some opinions form someone who uses them. Oh and HI all just joined and this is our first post.

I installed a set of air bags on my truck, and it made a HUGE difference. My advice would be to take delivery, drive it a few times, then make your decision.

I went with the TriGlide, and I have air bags. I just drove it home an hour ago, and was amazed. My hitch is a Draw-Tite Companion (5th wheel that drops into the turn over ball goose neck), so very modest priced. I'm very pleased with this setup.

Still trying to decide

I appreciate the responses as this is our 1st 5er. We have been TT pullers up to this time. I was wanting a removable rail system with an air ride hitch. However it seems to get a slider with air ride hitch I am going to have to forego the removable rails. I considered going without the slider but most everyone including Columbus believe that its better to have just in case. I ordered our 320rs with standard pin to use with a trailer saver by Hensley or the air safe hitch. All opinions and preferences from other more experienced 5th wheel owners will be appreciated Thanks

We have the trail air rota-flex pin box with a B&H conpanion hitch. It pulls great. It does better with about 30 lbs in the air bags.

I have a short bed truck and have gotten real close to 90 deg and still had room
Between trailer & cab. I like this combo because I can still use the bed without
A problem. The hitch can be removed quickly & by one person. It is a good setup if you use the truck for other things. The 18K rating dosnt hurt either.

I have a Trail Air Rotoflex pin on my 5er with a Curt 20k slider hitch. My last 5er had just the standard pin box on it, wow, I can not beliecve the difference in towing, then I added Roadmaster Active Suspension to make the ride even more enjoyable.

Thanks I am still leaning toward the Trailer saver hitch by Hensley w/slider. I am still disappointed I cannot get the removable rails, because I use the truck for a lot of hauling. I still do not know if it would be irresponsible to go without the slider and if I would pay for it (ouch) in the long run.

I have not had to use my slider on my Columbus yet, I used it all the time in my old camper. I have a short box and I have almost had the trailer 90 degrees from the truck, a lit if turning room
