6pt leveling
fiverman
Forgot to add that we did get the 6pt leveling system. This was one of our must have options. In fact as we looked at other 5th wheels we actually dropped a few from our list of choices (Grand Design) because they did not have the option on the specific trailer we wanted. Very happy though that we found the Columbus.
I did see somewhere (maybe this thread) that someone ordered the heavier 7K lb axels. Wish I had done so but since it was not listed as an option and the dealer did not offer it up, I simply did not realize it could be done. Hope I don't kick myself later. There is so much back and forth in the forum on frame size and mfg, tire size and type and all seem to be saying the base level of what the Columbus has are not good enough. Not sure if these people are a little over the top with their worries, if they are the type that simply have to go big or go home on everything, or if they may be right. Lots and lots of threads on foreign tires and blowouts, but I'll save that for another day.
I will have to decide on some type of pad for leveling just haven't got there yet.
Thanks again and keep the info coming this is helping so much as we prepare to get the trailer out on the road.

How hard was it to bring the wiring into the trailer for the remote as I like that location. Easy access and it looks like it was factory install.
I see you are in Burton, Mi. I grew up in Flint and left Mi after college in '82 having lived in 10 states since then. Don't get back much anymore now that my parents have passed. I do still have a brother who lives in Clio. Anyway, stay tuned as I am sure I will reach out again on the surge protector once I have total access to the trailer and can take a look at what's going on in there, lots of wires and pipes going everywhere. Are you OK with with a direct email or prefer to keep questions within this thread?
Hitch install is this weekend so while they do that I will play around with the trailer a bit on their lot.

Yes I am good with direct email, my address is syencer1@msn.com. As you asked, the wire for the remote display dlugs in like a computer internet connection, all I did was pull the control panel cover for the camper and fished it down to the under belly where I mounted the surge protector, the input line is a very stiff wire and there is plenty of slack under to cut it and splice the surge protector in. I did not do that but you can do it that way.

Interesting. We ordered our 365RL about two weeks ago. Was wondering if it would come as a 2014 or 2015. That'd be great if it's titled as a 2015, but I'm hoping it looks like the 2014's we fell in love with. Dealer said it should.
Our dealer had two 2014 Columbus of the same model. Floor plans were the same but they had significant differences in the furniture and the design of the wood and tile trim. Columbus said changes were made mid-year in the 2014's. One was produced around February 2013, the other around August 2013. So it would seem the first run of the new model year keeps the design from the previous year, and then they make the design changes mid-year, kind of like some auto manufacturers do with 1/2 year models, like a 2014.5 model.
Anyone know if this is the typical cycle for Columbus or just unique to last year? I'm assuming if the colors we picked on our order weren't available now, we'd have heard.

It states somewhere in the brochure that changes can be made without notice to anyone. I assume this means the dealer or us.My wife and I were on out dealers lot this weekend and they had just got 2 new stock models and he said our should be like those interior decor wise.

What's the actual build time, not including schedule lead time? We were originally told 8 weeks from time of order. Then told we're looking at first week of April. Then this week were told "you have your place in line for build" which I took to mean we're on the schedule but they haven't started anything. So -- how many weeks of actual build time? Anybody know?

I ordered jan 4th it was built last week feb 24th and is waiting at the factory for the day and night shades we wanted. The entire time they have promised 8 weeks and if it wasn't for the wife wanting the 2013 shades vs the 2014 it would be at the dealer today.
From what we were told on model year
Change to next year aug- sept time frame, updates mid model year April build dates.
I have attached a copy of the email from the factory rep, he has answered all my questions in less then 24 hours.

Build time - chassis inline to off line will be about 10 hrs. Yep they do from 8-12 a day, just depends on what model is being built. Putting a surge supp in will not void your warranty at least that's what the factory told me last yr. about 2 days for FL delivery 1200 mi. Auto level is very good and some type of pad is a good idea. Either 12x12 pad blocks homemade to height or bought plastic pads which are OK but can slip in the right (or wrong) circumstances. I used Stall Mats from tractor supply to make mine. 3/4" thick and you can get 24 squares from one mat at $40 just stack to required height.

Got word that our 365 should be built by March 28. Our salesman said there might be delays because of weather so still hoping to go pick it up by mid April!!!

We ordered our 320 the first week of January, and we just found out we are scheduled to pick it up at our dealer next Tuesday the 25th of March. Pretty quick order process/build/delivery time line in our opinion. In fact as excited as we are, considering the weather here in northern Ohio, we could have waited a little longer. Pick up day will be 37* and possible snow showers, (wish it was sunny and 70*)

That's a good question. We ordered our Rockwood 8327ss February 20th with the dealer saying it'll be 10 to 12 weeks. We went to the Flint camper show last weekend and the Rockwood factory rep said more like 6 to 8 weeks if ordered Feb. 20.
I REEEEAAALLLY want to believe the factory rep!! LOL!
