We are considering a Heartland Gateway vs. the Columbus. I've been in contact with the Heartland Gateway sales manager, both by phone and via email, and not once has he not replied to me, and he has done so in a very reasonable amount of time - as in a matter of hours. That sure does make a good impression.
Just a head's up - ForestRiverForums.com is not in any way associated with Forest River, Inc. or its associated RV manufacturing divisions.

The factory reps that we're lucky to have are generally working the forum in their own time in addition to whatever their normal job is at Forest River (I know I've seen the reps posting around midnight - before turning in for bed, I suppose).

That said, it might be worthwhile to contact Columbus directly via their web page and then get an email or telephone contact who is part of the sales channel (I don't actually know what Christopher Columbus's job is).

Not making excuses - just hoping to clarify the role of the forum and factory reps here.

When we toured the factory, we were told that Christopher was anyone that works at Columbus that has the time to answer questions. Primarily 1 gut but it can be one of few. I have a few phone numbers of people there at Columbus, but they want you to go through your dealer primarily.

I wondered if they would want you to go through the dealer also, but I did use the Contact Us / Columbus Sales link on their Web site.

I have used the "Contact Us / Columbus Sales link on their Web site" several times and have never received a reply from anyone.

I would try calling them. I have heard positive things about their customer service when people call.

Thanks, ByronCR. If I don't get a response, I'll call.
