I was told the rear cap sealed the wall seams more securely. We ordered without the cap.
Can select a rack later. Base on our experience it's a likely chance the cap would be screwed up too!

I like the tail lights on the rear cap, much better than my small oval tail lights on such a large trailer, even if they are LED.

Thanks for the input. I made the change yesterday & the dealer called the factory. I suspect it will be a few weeks before they actually start. Now the wait.....

2 things you will never heard uttered from the camping crowd

1)I wish my tow vehicle was smaller

2) I wish the back of my camper was even more flat and plain than it already is....

I think you made a good choice, enjoy it!

The benefit is that the rear caps, are gorgeous. We talked about not getting one to save money, but the look is worth the extra money.

In our case we decided that the bike rack and having our bikes with us to ride while camping is more important than setting up our chairs behind the rig in order to stare at the back! : )

We are thinking of ordering a 320RS. We will definitely get the rear cap. There are other ways to take carry your bikes. We have a bike holder that attaches to the rear ladder on are Crossroads Cruiser that works great and im sure it would work on the Columbus. Otherwise im sure you could put them inside somehow.

Search for people putting two bikes in the laundry prep closet. They hang both bikes vertically and strap them down. Owners install their own hooks, tie down loops, etc.

I really liked the looks of the rear cap but I need a scooter to get around on so the bike carrier took precedence
