Columbus rv's
Just looked at the Forest River web page and could not find the Columbus RV's. Where can I look? I thought that they were a Forest River product.

Palomino is not one of FR's own brands.
It was acquired by FR Inc, back in 2002, when FR purchased Vanguard Industries.
It operates as an independent division.
Just like FR's other recent acquisitions: Dynamax, Coachmen, Shasta, PrimeTime and Viking.
It's a division of Forest River Inc but not of Forest River RV.

Many new members in our Columbus Owners group feel the same way, can't wait to take delivery.

2013 Columbus 340RK (Lemon) by Palomino
I bought this trailer, 2013 (Lemon) Columbus 340RK in December 2012. Complete piece of junk. On first and only trip with it, complete disaster. Brakes don't work (grease leaking from bearings) emergency break-away switch caught fire and melted, stress fracture in pin box over hang (within specs, I had it weight before trip, and have the certified scale ticket) floor sinking in several places, water heater ruptured (defective weld) flooding the underbelly causing it to collapse. Side wall stress fracture/separation during first trip. Multiple water leaks due to defective connections (yes Virginia, I have a pressure regulator on the water line).
I am stuck with a dead horse. Am I upset? Ummm, could be, but I promised mother I would never use the words to describe how I feel about this.
Therefore, we are no longer on-the-road RVer's, we are beached whales, with a behemoth we can't manage. Have I contacted the manufacturer? Yes. Just leave it at that.

2018 Columbus 298RLC Compass
We recently purchased this camper, upgrade from a Forest River Vibe TT. We have taken it out once so far. We love this camper. Any tips for upgrading from a TT to a 5th wheel?

2018 Columbus 383FB
Scheduled to do our PDI with our dealer on Thursday and take ownership of our 2018 Columbus 383FB....we are leaving the Cedar Creek Silverback line for the Columbus....we have thoroughly enjoyed the 2014 Silverback 33RL with virtually no problems but the floorplan of the 383FB sold us....the half bath on the lower level is going to save us old 70 year olds from climbing steps to go potty.....that front bath with a huge shower, double vanities, walk-in closet, stackable washer and dryer in place of our washer/dryer combo we now have....what more would we need ....we think this is going to be a great week....I'm sure y'all will hear from us at the end of the week.

I know I've said this before but I'll repeat it....we started with a bumper pull and traded for a 5th wheel....don't have any plans to go back...much more at ease up and down those RV highways towing that 5th wheel....after you do it a few times I hope you feel the same.

6 months so far with my first RV and it's a 5th wheel. Trip #8 starts tomorrow morning and we are absolutely loving it!
