Columbus support

Still working through my sat cable issues on the 320.
I thought I'd give a big props to columbus and Melanie Newcomb from columbus warranty, she emailed me today out of the blue to see how I was getting along and if I needed anymore assistance.
she'd put me in touch with the correct person should I need anything.
She also wanted me to follow up with her on my findings.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Sorry dude, still keeping my Sabre. But feel free to keep trying to convince us to upgrade. The old rig lasted you four years and I can go at least that long.

I can only get a SD signal thru the sat coax running through the camper but not an HD signal.

If i Hook sat cable directly to receiver from tailgater then I get an HD signal.

I get a good SD signal in living room tv but a very poor SD signal in the bedroom.

Did you figure out where they reversed the cable connections yet?

Please keep us posted on the outcome of this. I too have a 2016 Columbus 320RS with similar issues. Reception from tailgater is great but only in livingroom. I cannot get any reception (except mounted antenna - air) in the bedroom. We would love to receive the same reception in both areas.

Possibility

I haven't actually used my portable dish yet, so I don't know if this will be helpful, but thought I'd pass it on...

Someone (I think on this forum) told me that to get good satellite reception in the bedroom or in the basement TV connection you need to run a cable from the satellite connection to the "aux" jack and then to your TV.

As I said, I haven't actually tried this yet but figured I'd pass it along in case it was helpful.

Jumper coax from ota antenna "sat" plate in living room to the other satellite coax plate puts a signal to bedroom.
Do the same jumper in the bedroom to get signal in basement

Dbuster & Turbs

Bedroom has 3 connections labeled: Satellite, Cable, Auxillary ( I think). Are these existing connections there just for "show" or do they serve a purpose? I have tried all three including using a jumper coax cable between the 2 not used in all possible combinations as suggested elsewhere in forum. All to no avail. I do not understand why another cable run is needed if manufacturing already did this for me.

TV works great using build-in antenna and air reception. It also works great using the Sony DVD Blue Ray. Since the Satellite connection is made from Tailgater to house "Satellite" connection that provides great functionality to the living room TV, why does this fail in bedroom? Does this bedroom connection labeled "Satellite" have nothing to do with the rest of the wiring by same name within the RV?

Something is not clear to me here that I continue to fail in understanding.

Thank you for your responses

Living room tv area - jumper from aux/satellite black to satellite red, now signal is transfered to bedroom.

Thank you all for your responses, pictures and diagrams. I think I finally got it now. We will be heading south for the winter right after turkey day. Will try this again once we settle on the CG and the Tailgater is connected again.

Usually if you run your Sat cable through a splitter it will knock the signal down and leave you with only SD. It really needs to be a direct connect to the receiver.
