Curt 20K Slider or 18K Pullrite Sugerglide

Is the Pullrite that much better than the Curt for the money difference????
Going to be pulling a 320RS

It all depends on what you want out of your hitch to determine if the additional expense was worth it.

For me, I was looking for the following features:

*automatic-don't want to think about every turn whether I can make it or not
*simple-don't want to go through the "dance" when needing to activate the slide
*convenience-if I got in a situation while it's raining, didn't want to deal with the manual slider
*tight tolerances-didn't want to hear the manual slider noise during towing due to the design and many parts of the manual slider

Overall, it's a fit for me and like most SB truck owners, probably won't need the slider much but nice to know it's there and AUTOMATIC

We chose the Pullrite 16K Superglide. Like Ragin Cajun listed above, not sure if we will ever use the slide function but we know we didn't want to worry about it. We also went with the Super Rails which are totally removable from the bed of the truck when not in use. Although it cost more for the Super Rails, we wanted to have an empty bed when not towing. It's not a lightweight task to remove the hitch and rails. I can get the hitch out and to the edge of the tailgate and my wife and I can handle lifting it out of the truck. Total time to install or remove hitch is 5 minutes.

I am alone when I need to get the hitch out.
So I use the kingpin and camper as a crane.

I keep the camper hitched and lift the weight off the hitch with the landing gear.
(just about 1/4 inch of air above the plate)

Then I pull the pins connecting the hitch body to the rails.

Using the landing gear I raise the hitch and (using a pry bar) wiggle the hitch clear of the rails.

Then I raise it completely up, clearing the rails and drive out from under the hitch. I re-level the camper (leaving the hitch on the kingpin).
When I winterize the camper; the hitch is lubricated and bagged in plastic.

The rails are stored in the garage. I bought 4 Ford F-250 bumper plugs and they fit perfectly into the holes in the bed (locking into the Superglide body mounts).

I have the Curt Q20 slider, and have never really had a need to use it yet. For me, the money saved is well worth it for the number of times I've used the slider (0). Well, I have used it, but I didn't "NEED" to use it. Just wanted to make sure it still worked.

That's a nifty process you use Herk. We have to store our trailer off site so I would not be comfortable leaving my hitch on the rig, otherwise I would switch to your system on the next camping trip. Sounds very easy and pratical. The hitch dealer mentioned the Ford bumper plugs will fit the holes in the bed but I didn;t check into that. Thanks to your post, I'll be getting those soon.

I have to vote for the Pullrite hitch. Pullrite has a video on utube comparing the difference in design that convinced me. It maybe a little exaggerated, but if your favorite RV spot is on a grade and the drive is narrow, found in many public parks, you'll learn the extra money was well spent. I found a used one on Craigslist and save a lot of money. You may have to buy a universal rail kit to fit your truck.

I don't think that a lube disk with fit my SG. I just lube everything (plate, rails, etc) with WD40.

No need for a lube disk as the capture plate on the pin box does not turn on the hitch plate. Just be sure to keep the way tubes sprayed with WD-40. I spray mine down before hook up and the spray WD-40 every time we stop. No problems. I have been in a couple of situations in state parks where the Pullrite saved my rear truck window and corner of the camper from making the kind of contact that you do not want.

As said before; no lube disk needed since the pin does not pivot in the latch. The entire hitch head rotates on the hitch body as designed.

X2...just use WD40 as recommended in manual

Who has a super glide hitch and a 320RS with a 6 1/2 ' bed? Do you have any limitations with turning? Will it turn 90 degrees?

We have a Sabre 34RLQS with a 6 1/2' bed and absolutely no limitations! Think we might have exceeded the 90 degrees a couple of times LOL.

We have the Sabre 32RCTS-6 (Palomino Brand as the 320RS), no problems going 90 with our SB & Pullrite hitch.

We have the 320RS with the Pullrite and 6.5 bed. Have not had a problem making a 90 degree turn.

Limitations / Yes. 90* No, per Kyle at Salem RV. This was my concern also and Kyle had a friend with 6-3/4' SB Ford with a slider hook up to the 320RS that I'm buying.

In the parking lot they could pull a comfortable 75* to 80* turn. They are installing a Pullrite 16K slider next Wed and will be picking up the trailer on Friday. Testing will be done in the lot with my set-up at that time.
