Dometic Thermostat

My wall mounted Dometic thermostat seems to show only the heat or cooling temperature that you set it to, not the current inside temperature. Is this correct?

The trailer model is a Puma 18DB. The unit has ducted heat and air. The wall thermostat is digital temp display in the center with fan, air, heat on the right with an on/off mode switch on the bottom. A plus and minus temp up and down is on the right.

When you put in the desired temperature that is the only number that appears until the unit reaches that temperature and shuts off.

That's correct. It doesn't show the current temp, only the temp you've set it to. I plan to swap mine out because that's a major annoyance to me as well.

turn off the fan/ac/heat then press the up/down button and it will give inside temp

When it's off... Press the + or - button and it will display the inside temp.
