Done Deal - 320 Build Sheet Submitted

Well, it's all done but the , the build sheet has been submitted.

Now all my wife and I can do is wait for our new Columbus 320 (heavy) to be built and delivered. (Anyone interested in an '86 24' Class "C" Motorhome??)

320 Heavy?? Yup, HEAvy. I don't think there was an option we missed. 6 point level system, 2nd AC, Onan 5500 LP Gennie (wish it was a genie though), Slide Cappers, Washer/Dryer, AirRide Pin box, the full meal deal.

But after 30 years of planning for this unit, we did not want to skimp on any of the luxuries.

I hope I have enough truck, but don't get me started on that topic.

Anyway, we'll let you know how things progress. (Watch for pictures!)

mates,

Brad and Lorry

Congrats on submitting the build sheet for your Columbus 320. You did make her heavy but you'll be glad. You're going to have one beautiful and decked out 5er. Hope the wait time goes fast and quickly turns into . Please post pics when you can.

Will be using a 2011 Dodge Ram 3500 Laramie Longhorn, 4x4, SRW, SB, Diesel, Tow Pack, Jake Brake. I'll be putting in a 20K, Dual Pivot, slider hitch.

I've been guaranteed by the RV Dealership that I have more than enough truck to haul this puppy and that I should not have to resort to extra leaves or airbags. I guess we'll have to wait for the unit to arrive to be sure.

That should be more than enough truck!

We too ordered our Columbus with everything, the only options we didn't order were the king bed, washer, dryer, and bike rack (NA with the fiberglass rear end cap.)

Yo are going to love it!

We went with the king bed (never owned one before), Fiberglass cap (bike riding days are almost done but had to seriously consider this though, might of needed to load it up to take weight off the king pin or build a shed on it for my wife's shoes, lol)

Washer and Dryer, well, that was my wife's thing. It had to be there (just glad that there wasn't a dishwasher on the list of options or I would have been out of a job.)

We probably over-did the hitch, but being first time haulers, I wanted to make sure I had something that would keep me out of trouble or help if I get into trouble.

Other than that, I've been informed that the build sheet is now in the hands of the factory and the count-down begins...

You will not regret the Tri-Glide hitch, I had a standard pin box on the Cougar and it was fine, however when I towed our Columbus home I noticed a big difference, much smoother, plus the Columbus is 4k heavier that the Cougar!

We opted for the Queen Trump mattress since we saw the king bed at the show, there's not much room to make the bed... we love the trump mattress even though we have only been able to spend one night in our Columbus.

Again - congrats!

My 320 has basically all options available at the time except rear cap and heat pump for main A/C. I tow with an 09 F250 diesel and it does a great job. My truck has a 2.5" lift kit and larger tires so it did squat a bit so I added airbags and it made a difference. However I could've kept towing without the bags with no issues except folks flashing their lights thinking my brights were on. Mine has king bed and washer dryer also so you shouldn't have any issues with a 1 ton.
