dryer vent for Columbus 320 RS
We have the Columbus 320 RS on order. I know it has the hookups for washer and dryer but am wondering about an outside vent. I can't recall from the one that we looked at. Can any owners help me out. We are thinking we wouild prefer a dryer that is vented outside but really hate the thought of cutting a hole into the wall. Any help? What brand of washer/dryer is being used. Thanks for any input.

You will have to drill for the vent (Not that difficult from the location it is in). They are using the splendide washer/dryers.

Keep in mind the "hole" is for 3" hose. It connects to a unpainted louvered door, multiflap or single flap with hood. Go on Camping World site to see details of the exhaust vent. The ventless washer has no exits but uses a couple of xtra gallons of water per load. Its suggested mount is directly outside the W/D on the side wall.

You didn't pay for w/d prep, that is a standard....they all have them.
If you get the optional w/d units installed, they come mounted and vented.

Yup, sorry, I assumed you had a Columbus, since this thread is under the Palomino heading, and was asked about a Columbus...

Their is two types of washer/fryer combos.
Vented and non-vented types.
Which do you have or plan to buy?

Yes they are worth it when you have kids or on longer trips and they help cut down on the amount of clothes, underwear and socks.
We pay for the electricity and water anyway in the campground.

Hi FunkyJunk!
What is the brand and model of the Washer/Dryer you have in the photo? Our 320RS is coming off the line next week, so excited! We did not get the washer dryer yet, but plan on it later. That looks like a nice set up! How is the energy and water usage?

Looks like an Ariston stack set marketed by Splendide (Camping World). One problem is weight is 200+ which reduces your ccc. Its still a 120V dryer so no advantage over the combo sets like pictured above, about 120 lbs.

Yes Sir, but when I spend over 1000 bucks for a washing machine I do my research! My came down to a Splendide or Ariston. CW had both on sale the Spendide was best price. Come to find out they are both made by same Europeans! LOL! I'm catching up to you and Lou........

Thanks to all that answered our op. Our order for Columbus just went in last Monday so we were able to add the w/d (vented) to the factory order. I could have possibly saved a couple of hundred dollars by doing it myself later but decided not to mess with it . Much less complicated to do a factory install.

The dryer is a model TVM63X and the washer is a model ARWXF129W.
They work pretty well. They take a bit longer than my home washer/dryer but that is to be expected. Power usage isn't really a problem. You do need to make sure your grey tank is open while using. They won't fill up an empty tank but I don't want to take the chance with a half full tank.
