entrance door cracking on interior

hi

is palomino pal still available to help?

my fifth wheel is palomino thoroughbred ultra lite 2010 F 830-RLS.

we are currently in spain, our entrance door [plastic bubble effect on interior]
has split.
1st window to lock side of door, then next day a further 3 cracks, each side of window
now below window we have 7 horizontal cracks from hinge to lock part of door.
does anyone know of what might have caused it.
we will need to ship new door to England, is there a factory or dealer on east coast who would ship to us.

also we need the rubber/cushion/wiper seal that is fitted to the body, and stops water/rain coming in when slide out are in the out position, what do you call them.
many thanks
alison and steve

Spain? You know how much it cost to ship the 5/W over there, you will think you bought another unit! Door replacement in the USA is time consuming,to ship to England?? Good Luck! Youroo!! Was this a US Gov. shipped Unit?

hi
after 90 people reading the post i thought someone would have had an idea about the cause of the cracking,
or helpful information about suppliers or agents, guess we will have to sort it ourselves

Is there a LCI sticker on it...probably made by Lippert Component. Here's a link to the RV entry doors... LCI RV Entry Doors - RV & Trailer Entry Doors

Depending on the age, it may still be under warranty. Here's the email contact for LCI customer service... Contact Us or call them at 574-537-8900.

dave and monica
thanks for your reply.

yes the door is lippert and we have used link to enquire if they can ship door and also seals that stop water entering the 5th wheel when the slides are in the out position.

we have also contacted palomino who say they can supply door but have not replied if they can supply the seals/rubbers.

it seems to be a very slow process and perhaps it would be better if we phoned them as maybe we use different words to describe things.

we have sent pics of seals and doors, so i cant understand what the problem is.

attched are best pics of seals i can supply

I checked the Lippert site and couldn't find seals listed anywhere. Here's a link to a supplier of seals that I found with google search... Slide-Out Seals - Factory RV Surplus

FWIW your pictures of the seals are for when the slide is in the IN position. The seal arrangement on the inside wall surrounding the slide opening will be very similar but may not be the same. Are the inside seals damaged or are the slide rooms not adjusted properly to contact the seals against the inside slideroom flange.

Actually, the picture he posted is probably what he needs to keep the water out, the wiper seal has probably become stiff and become ineffective to keeping the water out. These seals are typical of most all slideouts. Try here Rubber Seals & Gaskets
