Ever chill refrigerator

I have a 2019 Puma 295-BHSS which has an Ever Chill refrigerator that seems like it runs on 12v and it’s really loud. Anybody familiar with those?

You are correct it only runs on 12V power @ 11 amps this is the first I have heard of these units being installed in rigs. I have no idea of how to limit the noise from the compressor.

if you are blowing fuses first thing I would check is that the batteries are fully charged or plugged into shore power. Remember as voltage drops amperage has to go up for unit to run which causes fuses to blow.

And besides. Doesn’t the battery charge when it’s plugged in?

We have the same model in our 255RKS, and I agree, the compressor is rather loud. The good news is, we haven't blown any fuses with it yet. Like you, so far we've always been plugged in.

Looks like from pictures yours is basically same size, although mine doesn't have that info plate inside like yours. I'm guessing it's on the back of ours.
The one we have is so quiet you'd think it wasn't running. Maybe yours is defective.

Sometimes it’s louder that others. When it’s loud I can feel a vibration.

Oh my. Well, that's a bummer. I guess you get what you pay for.

How did you come to purchase this model? Was it on the lot? Was the fridge that loud when you looked at the camper? When you did PDI was it loud?

No offense intended but,If it were me I would've bought a year old better quality laminated side camper instead of the stick and glue Puma because they're just junk.

I ordered the camper from factory but I’m not sure why this refrigerator came with it. We never discussed a refrigerator. I’m only using it 4 or 5 times a year and they’re affordable. I’m currently in contact with the company to see what’s going on.
