F250 WITH 6.2l Gas for 34TBOK-6

Is the 6.2L Gas engine enough for a 34TBOK-6 or should I go with diesel? Will the F250 be able to handle the pin weight of the 34TBOK-6? Torn what to do I would like a F350 with the 6.7 but the prices are pretty high, found a decent priced Silverado 2500HD with the Duramax but have not seen pictures yet. Found a nice F250 with the 6.2L Gas but am not sure it is enough truck. I love my F150 Ecoboost but since I bought this trailer I know I need to upgrade to something bigger.

Based on what I have read and what I am learning I'd say you should get an F350 dually diesel.

Gross loaded weight of your 2013 Palomino Sabre 34TBOK-6 is 13,750 lbs
The F-250 with the 6.2 L has a towing rate of about 12,500lbs. Your rig exceeds that amount.
That weight moves you into the larger F-350 range with the diesel and yes a dually will make it much easier to pull.

The truck is a supercrew 4x4 SRW. My 34TBOK will only he towed mostly empty as it sits on a seasonal site. If it moves it would be for warranty work or repairs etc. So maybe slightly higher than the unloaded weight of 10900.

You can do it with the F-250 if you don't plan long hilly trips with it.

For what you state you intend to use the truck for I think the F250 6.2 L will be good. Just check the loaded pin weight to be sure you are not over the GRAWR and the tire weight rating even for a short move. Better yet, why not keep what you have and get/pay someone to move it for you. You will be $$$$ ahead.

Just curious, do you camp with nothing. Do you park the trailer then make separate trips to stock it. No matter how you slice it you need to have the weight of all your stuff covered and it can add up very fast. Even if you don't load it in the trailer and just carry it in the truck you have to account for the weight. Our trailer sat on a permanent site as well and was 6700# empty.
After hauling away 7 boxes and three large bags of accumulated junk we were still at 8800# when we moved it. That put us at 14991# gcvw

Why spend big bucks on a truck when you may not even use it? Hire a mobile technician if you need work done and have it delivered to your site.

With your current intentions of how your using your camper, don't buy a truck for it but as others stated, look into friends to help, rent or contract someone to move the rig when needed.
NOW...if there is a remote possibility you will want to take the road & camp elsewhere, buy a truck that will accommodate that need: 250/350 diesel.
