The "bike racks" are not really bike racks. Call them cargo racks and you will get along better.Click image for larger version

This is what I do, fork mounts attached to the rack, attach bikes (I now have aluminum plate on the rack base and it is much better).

We carry 3 bikes so had 2 more posts and brackets made & bolted brackets on. Now we can stand and secure each bike on its own & don't have to take a wheel out either nor put pads between bikes. Can't post a photo as don't have one at this time - will take one next time we load them on as others have asked the same thing.

I have a 200 lb Honda Ruckus Scooter on the rack on my 340rk. I also have a 270 lb Zuma 125 c on the front hitch of my F250. My wife thinks we look like the Beverley Hillbillies.

Nice. My dad is big into the Bog Ruckuses. He drove his from PA to NC for some gathering and put 1,400+ miles onto it in just over a week.

Has anybody tried attaching a hitch mount bike rack to help secure the bikes? Something like this. I'm wondering if it might be easily adapted for use instead of the existing pole?

Hello Janice
I'm very curious to get a picture of the bike rack. I'm so disappointed to see that it isn't really a bike rack! Fifth wheels are so expensive and I can't put my bikes on it without breaking them.
