Fiberglass Delamination

Anyone having any issues with their Sabres. I have a 2008 BHDS and had to get a spot fixed last year on it and after getting it out of storage this weekend noticed another place on the opposite side coming apart.Waiting to see if warranty is going to fix.

I had delam problems on my Rockwood, but I found them within two weeks of the 1st year warranty running out. FR took the trailer back to the factory and replaced both sidewalls.

How big were the areas on your rockwood? The first one was probably about six inches long,but the one this year is 34 inches long and probably 6-8 inches wide.

Mine where about like the smaller one you mentioned. FR replaced the sidewalls because once delam starts, it usually just gets worse over time. As far as I know there isn't any other fix.

You may also find hard bumps on the walls inside your trailer. Sometimes apperaing like a rash. The walls can also swell. The swelling may be hard to see, but if you run the palm of your hand over the wall you can feel it. These two problems are caused by the styrofaom insulation getting wet. Check around the slideout area. I was told this is where most delam problems occur.

Here's a pic of one of the bubbles above my slideout;

I had delam on my first 2006 8314, it was 8 days old just setting in the driveway. It started out small about 6" long and continued to grow. Don't know what happen to it, the dealer gave me another new camper in it's place.

If your Sabre is going back to the factory for new walls, ask them to add some upgrades from the 2011 models. I did.
