Floor Bounce in 5th Wheels

I have a 2014 Columbus 340rk with the standard 4 point leveling system with stabilizer bars..I want to add 4 more scissor jacks one behind and one in front of the trailer Tire's on each side to firm the unit up and get rid of the bounce.. Do I just measure equally and divide the distances to the standard levelers or keep them closer to the tires..

Thanks for your thoughts

i think divide equally but realize that those distances are not cast in cement. convenience should play a role in location.

When you say stabilizer bars, are you referring to JT Strongarms? If so, are you following the instructions they provide on how to set them up? When set up properly, my 320RS is pretty stable.

I'm also thinking of a set of those X type expandable Tire chocks might help..

X Chocks stop the for and aft movement. JT Strong-arms stabilize the trailer front to back further and on the Landing Gear side to side. Think of the landing gear being silts. Our Fifth Wheel is stable now.

I use home made JT'S, tripod, slide stabs, and I still get movement but with 4 Slides and 4 kids it is expected..

Putting jacks in front of the axles will stop the bouncing floor that will not be eliminated with X Chocks or JT Strongarms.

First trip with X-Chocks and tripod and it really helped a lot. Pleasantly surprised me. Additional benefit of the tripod it took away 80% of the squeak in the bedroom floor.

Why not spend some $$$ and have 3rd set of leveling jacks installed in front of the wheels? Sounds like too much frame flex. That long of a 5er should have 6pt leveling.
