I was told by my sales person that for Columbus, it's the square footage. And there is only one formula for calculating square footage.

My sales guy said that the number on the side reflected the INSIDE length of the living space. Could be....

I don't think so. The 320 has a length of 36'9"; you do not loose 4'9" to the front & rear walls.

That's why I said "could be". It's all open to speculation. But then again, who really cares?

I'd assume the person that asked the question; why else would they have asked?

I was told by someone who knew a lot more than me that it was the trailer's square footage. Seems to be a more popular way of identifying trailers now, by many manufacturers.

Square footage. A little confusing sometimes as they all used to go by the length for the designation. I think they're getting away from it as the length used to be what most folks used to determine if a 3/4 ton or 1 ton vehicle was required to tow it. Before all the new construction techniques and materials used became popular, I used to hear that a 33-34 ft fiver was the limit for 3/4 tons.
