Furnace Question on our Palomino

Do we need to be plugged into 110 to run the furnace, or will it run off 12V...may be a stupid question, but we have never pulled our travel trailer during frigid temps. We have a Puma 30RKSS. Thanks.

Your furnace is totally 12v DC, just like the lights and radio, other than using propane for making heat.

But you'll need someway to recharge the batteries, since the furnace fan is the biggest power hog in the RV.
A single battery can be emptied in 6-8 hours, if it runs a lot.

So you'll need shore power or a generator to recharge the batteries.
And don't expect that just driving will totally recharge a fully depleted battery.

Furnace Question

Thank you. That is good to know. We plan on leaving the frigid NE Ohio weather for somewhere milder in Florida. We are currently plugged into shore power and have been running the furnace while we load. Will be glad to head for a milder climate. The old bones don't take to 8 degrees above zero. Thank you for answering our question. Forest Rive Forum is the best. Happy New Year and safe travels.
