furniture issue

Hi Folks,
My husband and I are having a really hard time communicating with Forest River regarding our defective RV furniture. We have received very poor customer service. We have had our Columbus since 2015. All of our furniture is peeling! Any advice?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but since it's almost 5 years old, it's out of warranty, so your best bet is to replace the furniture or have it recovered by a local upholstery company. I wouldn't expect Columbus to warranty 5 year old furniture.

If you have an extended warranty then you need to contact them about whether it's covered or not.

We have the same issue with our 2014 Solaire 297RLDS. We bought trailer May 2018 and furniture was in mint condition. After a moth of use, sofa started checking. Within another month, sofa was peeling and chairs started cracking. By the end of last year, all of the furniture looks like JUNK.

My wife has found some slip covers at Walmart and Amazon to fit the furniture and they look great. We are about to hit the road for a month, we will see if they stay in place.

Luckily the sofa in our 2018 Cherokee was the same material that is on our cheap sofa in our basement. It started peeling after about 5 months of use. We bought a sofa cover for the TT sofa the day after we bought it home. Two years and the sofa still looks good.

Are these slip covers the type that has to be tucked in?

You can go online and find replacement furniture. That is what I would do.
