The furnace really keeps the bathroom warm we would like to deflect more heat into the bedroom.. Wonder if you could just throw a small rug over the heat register at night ?

True and considering the bedroom register is only about 2ft further down stream it should help

Not unless they used a wye branch on that line. Other then that it will just push it down stream. I doubt very much if you would see any benefit by that. It all depends how they ran the duct. If it is wall register it would be 2" only. If it is a floor register it's probably 4". Tie two ribbons on the register and see if the air flow increases. You can give it a try. You can also get 2 -4" x 2" Reducers and just switch the ducts if it's in your bedroom wall and close together under the floor.

Congrats Turbs
Looks about like the inside of mine you'll live it. I modified my heat duct to push more heated air into the bedroom from the bathroom. The hole under the sink access for duct wasn't cut out all the way. Just a heads up and also I sealed all electrical and plumbing floor penetration with squirt foam and sealed underbelly penning edge seams with black silicon. Seem to make a big difference but we are in Texas so mostly did it for the heat of summer. Hope yours has 2 A/C units.
