Hardwired Surge Protector
I'm wanting to install an EMS-HW50C in my Sabre 32RCTS. Has anyone done this on a Sabre? It seems the most logical place to install it is on the floor behind the breaker box by the converter. There's already a rat's nest of wires in there so a few more can't hurt! Is this doable?

Did mine back in june in our 36qbok. It wasn't fun but only took a couple 3 hours and a bought 5 extra feet of wire to run from the protector to the breaker instead of spicing in the original wires.

Did mine, in my 34tbok, just like turbs also. Added plugs on the ends of wires so I can easily remove and plug in without if needed or when I sell my camper.
Hardest part is working with the #6 wire...

Man that is a rat's nest. Hard to believe the factory wiring dudes couldn't have been a lil' bit more creative in locating a mounting place for the white neutral block. If that was up, outa the way it would have looked a whole lot neater and free'd up some floor space.

I installed my EMS-HW30C in our Roo but couldn't figure out how to loosen the grey cable clamp on the back of the breaker box so I spliced it in the factory line. Is there a trick to loosen that cable clamp?

On the clamp-
I think i used a couple of pick tools and pliers to get it opened again. If i remember correctly i uncrewed the clamp and then pulled the wire out with clamp still on and then removed the clamp and reinstalled the clamp in the breaker box. Than i ran the wire back thru.

Display
Here is where we (Turbs and I, in Goshen) put my display. This way I can see it from my recliner. I also put my EMS behind the converter.
