Checklist

Thanks for sharing your experiences. Unfortunately you are giving my wife too many ideas...LOL. At least with her interested, she can figure out the in's and out's of this site. My navigation abilities are limited. This seems to becoming a fairly cohesive group of Columbus owners. Who is organizing the rally?

We have started a checklist of our own. It includes each post on any issue, big or small.

Picked up our Columbus in MI last week, happy to have it home in NY. Loading it up this weekend & wondering where to put everything.....so many cupboards & drawers! It is truly a comfy home -slept in it on the way home from MI. Can't wait til the snow leaves and the campgrounds open up!

Congratulations!!! Barpat. "Snow" whats that? Head South we haven't seen snow in a couple of years. Hope we are next in line to make that"We picked up our Columbus today" post. Should happen next week.

@ Earthstation - A rally on Columbus day Oct. 8 would work for us Southerners but not sure about the Northern owners.

How about Creekwood Farms RV park in Waynesville, NC? At the foot of the mountains with colorful trees, on a nice stream, near Maggie Valley. Close to the Blue Ridge Parkway which is a beautiful drive.
Or Wilow Tree RV Resort in Longs, SC? Beautiful park with large lake, private hot tubs, and near Myrtle Beach.
Columbus Day 2012?

Columbus Rally Location Columbus Day Weekend

Either of those would be fine with us. Any other input or interest?

hbro77, I won't worry -furnace & fireplace will keep it cozy...it's well insulated, so the underbelly should stay warm -tho we haven't camped in ours in COLD weather. We did tho, in March , tho stop at a rest stop on the way from MI to NY & sleep for a few hours just under the bedspread w/o out a furnace or fireplace. It is insulated that it kept the warmth from the sunny day that day/night. Enjoy!!!!

Best answer? Stay out of Vermont in cold weather, head south!

Daughter is coming home from England and will be visiting for the first two weeks of October. Very happy about that -- but sad to say... will miss the 1st Columbus gathering!
