I use a superglide 18K pulling a Columbus 295. it works good but its heavy and does adds weight if you're limited. On the scales my 5th wheel tongue weights in at around 2350lbs (empty). A far cry from the factory numbers. I did add some firestone air bags to my RAM giving it an improved ride, level things out and add stability. I am looking for suggestions to replace my pullrite with something that works because of the weight. I'm already approaching my axle weight limits and need to loose some pounds somewhere. Anybody got any suggestions!!

I use a Curt OEM Dodge Q16 non slider. This hitch weight is 178 pounds, can be removed or reinstalled in under 5 minutes. My recommendation is to go to the largest Spring/Frame manufacturer in your area and get some expert advice. Q16 is a non slider but can add roller bars if I wanted a slide. Never have had an issue backing up my 320, after 3 trips I now park it solo.

Hitch for 320

I have watched others unhook and it's fun watching. Pulling the pin pulling forward then finding out they are still attached. I went to the FROG rally last year and several others couldn't believe how easy I disconnected from my 320'with the B&W hitch. After I raise 5th wheel off truck I pull pin from lever on companion pull lever and truck always floats forward. Ask any owner of B&W companion and they will tell you same thing. Companion comes out of truck in two pieces now you can haul goose neck or have an empty bed to haul anything. Hitch is set up for 18,000 and pinbox on Columbus is 15,500. Great hitch. They also have a slider but you don't need one no issues on standard bed Chevy.

One other thing for those that know will I need air bags? Pln weight empty 2015. Thanks.

Hitch for 320

I have a 13 Chevy 3500 LTZ, diesel standard bed. I have a 320 RS and have no need for a slider.

The B&W slider takes up nearly the entire bed so there is no room for a generator or much of anything else in the bed. I do have a B&W gooseneck so i went with the Pullrite slider and the Super rail kit which lets me attach the slider to the B&W hitch. I can then remove everything and either use the gooseneck or have and empty bed. The hitch is heavy though so I recommend a chain hoist or engine lift to remove it

I have a Dodge 2500 with 6.5 box, bought a16Q Curt hitch, light weight and extremely easy to hitch and as a matter of fact I did it by myself the first 3 trips in the 320.

I have same truck with a Columbus. Air bags make a big difference. I have a Curt 16k and love it, easy to hitch and unhitch.

Looking at a 320rs and want to pull it with a 2013 Ram 2500 4x4 crew Lariat with a 3.42 rear axle and short bed. Anyone using this truck for this rig?

2500 is too small a truck. I had one for a year, went to a 3500 dually. The 2500 was over weight just Linn payload with me and trailer attached. Anything in the truck just adds to the weight and anything forward of the axles does the same. You will be much better off going to a bigger truck or, a smaller trailer.
