We have a 2009 Puma 27FQ. It has already been through camping Hell. We more or less full time in ours. Home base only sees us 4 to 6 months a year. This last year has been spent on the road though. We were going to trade up to a fiberglass sided trailer but the DW thought some of the dealers we talked to were out to gouge us. RV salesmen are a lot like used car salesmen.

So much for that rant. We have decided to modify the trailer to fit us. The dinette is going out and will be replaced with a table and 2 chairs. The dinette benches absolutely suck to sit in when you full time. Folding metal chairs are much more comfortable. The couch has been pulled out and going to cut out the couch support or bench the couch sat on to open up the space so we can use that for a hobby type area. The only thing we have a problem with is some of our storage disappears so we will just have to cut out some of the junk we carry to do what we want with the trailer. We would have upgraded to a Wolf Pack 295 until we started dealing with salesmen. They know so much more about what we want than what we know about what we want. That is one factor. The next factor was the Lippert fifth wheel frames breaking.

When we get back home, we'll let you know how the upgrades go this spring. If it works out, we just might keep this until we shake the frame apart and it falls in around us.

We did the same mods you're talking about. The first summer, we tore out the benches, left the table, and bought office type chairs. Opened up quite a bit of floor space, and way more comfortable to set in. Then last year, we tore the table out, got rid of the chairs, removed the jackknife sofa, and tore out the bench it set on. In it's place, we bought two lazy boy recliners. We also bought two folding tv trays to eat on and use for tables. They fit behind the recliners when not in use. That really opened up the floor.

We would have been content to still be in that trailer, but we came into some found money, and upgraded to the bigger fw.

Ours is a 2010 29RKSS, and we love its layout and features. Great price, great value, and great times!

In the process of buying a 2012 25rs. Need a spare bedroom to go see new grandson in Texas. I'm sure it will serve us well. At least our poodles anyway.

Close to Athens. SE of the big D! We live in KY. Son & daughter n law are there. Expecting in a few weeks. And we have a family of poodles that rule the roost here so we're buying this for them! Can't leave them with anyone, so here we go!

Why we chose the 25RS:
Rear couch/bed, for poodles to lay.
Large window, so poodles can see
Nice side windows in rear
Bedroom that can be isolated
Slide out not a priority.
Nice tub, for keeping poodles bathed
So, you see, the poodles needs were our main concern! Look where life has brought us! lol

Im sure you and the family will enjoy it. In part of our negoations we had the dealer remove the couch, modify the pass thru under the couch into two small exterior storage compartments and put two recliners in place of the couch. Much more suitable for us. Hope it will bring you as much joy as we have received from ours so far.

We've camped in our 2010 about twenty weeks the past two years (retirement is sure great!) and had zero warranty issues. Matress on sofa bed was a joke, but an easy fix and my only complaint.

You'll enjoy yours!
